Modern World Business Solutions was founded in 2018 by MD, Warren Whitfield. Fresh into payments Warren set about business in an industry that intrigued and excited him equally.

Initially in our early life we, just like most other payments ISOs had a business strategy of building a quantity lead sales business – this didn’t last long… it wasn’t for us.

After 6 months of selling one acquirer and learning a bit about how the industry worked, it became apparent that it would be too hard for us to make any real impact in a sector full of a tarnished reputation and full of businesses willing to compete in the race to the bottom on payment solutions. We didn’t want to be just another payments business fishing in the same sea and catching the same fish as everyone else.

We recognised that the payments sales journey was far too disjointed, a company could use a sales rep to sell a service one day and that rep could be gone the next. Leaving the relationship that the merchant thought he had with a company in tatters. After all, a merchant account is one of the most important relationships your business will have. It keeps you paid so you need to know who you are dealing with and they must be easy to contact – sounds simple right?

This wasn’t us….. so we wanted to create a business that challenged the normal way of selling payments. V2 of Modern World Business Solution began to take shape.

We are from a background of adding value and putting the customers’ needs right at the forefront of what we offer them.

We asked ourselves how we could do this in payments if we only offer one product?

The answer – we couldn’t.

So we set about building a business that could offer technology, products, and services that joined the dots in the payment ecosystem between sales staff, Acquiring banks, and the end merchant.

Fast forward to today, we have a business with our technology that we have built out specifically to aid not only reseller of merchant services which improve how payments are offered but we also have designed a designated merchant panel that our merchants receive as a standard that plays a pivotal role in our merchants’ business and adds tremendous value.

Modern World Business Solutions has grown quickly into one of the country’s most popular choices for merchant services, with direct relationships into 14 acquiring banks ensuring that we are placing the correct solution into every merchant that we deal with. Whilst being held accountable through high levels of service that we offer.
